WhiteSpruce (picea glauca)

Needle-leaved, evergreen, confier, mainly to 24 m high but reaching 40 m; trunk with a definite taper, commonly to about 60 cm in diameter but reaching 120 cm; crown cone-shaped with spreading to sightly drooping branches extending to the base in open-grown or lightly shaded trees but lower branches shed in densely shaded stands; roots shallow, widespread and pliable.
